Validation Victims

Constant validation is a hard thing to wrap around my mind.

Why does something always have to be said in order for it to be felt?
Validations happen in moments, there’s not always something to tell.

But the constant need to be told exactly how one feels and what they think is crippling.
It’s like the thought of the unknown of how a person feels is so sickening.

Truth be told the feeling is told in the moment,
and if you’re paying attention it should not be so hard to focus.

Those who suffer from severe validation deficiency,
push away everyone who lacks validation dependency.

What matters to some, may not exist to one.
To each their own, beat at your own drum.

If one does not show love in a form that you are used to, maybe search in a new way.
If one does not talk how you want them, maybe listen a little different.
It is ok to have differences, and it’s ok to adapt to new ways.

Validation gives temporary serotonin, but grows long term resentment.
Don’t be validation victim, your validation comes within. (Not to be corny).

Rant poem. Thanks for reading.
xx, Mal
