One thing that has really been on my mind lately is active mindfulness.
Knowing you are in control of your life and doing what it takes to enjoy it as best you can.
I don’t know what this life means, what happens next, or how we got here – but I do know that I am living it so I want to experience it as best I can. I want to remember this life being fun, full of joy, and never having a dull moment. I want to spend my time laughing and always feeling fulfilled with my quality of life. Things get rough sometimes and life throws us so many unpredictable, off-roading events. Things we can’t control. That’s because we CAN control how we navigate through it. How we react and respond. How we think. How we learn from these lower moments and build a solution to move forward to greater times.
What happens to you and how you navigate this game of life, is your story.
There is always a solution to get to a better place than where you are.
If our lives are miserable, why is that so?
What can we do to fix it? How can you make this life a little more enjoyable? How can you give yourself a little laugh? What makes your heart happy? When was the last time your abs hurt because you were laughing so hard? Why would we NOT want this for our lives? Why would we NOT want to spend this life being as satisfied as we can? Being happy to live? Having the desire to see what’s next in store for you? If you’re miserable, why is it such a bad thing to improve your life from where it’s at now?
Now I realize life gets hard. It throws us curveballs and places obstacles in front of us each and every day. I’m not being naive about that. We are grown adults with real-life responsibilities. With that in mind, we are still the ones in control of our own misery. We control who surrounds us and the environments we put ourselves in. We choose how we spend our time and ultimately, that affects the direction our life travels. So why don’t we all choose the best case scenario for ourselves? Why not become as close as we can to being happy — so that when the tough times do come, the gratitude towards your quality of life holds you down.
Take responsibility for your life.
How you live it, is your choice.
Thank you for reading.
Mal.
