The War Against Reality

Picture this:

It’s a quiet Sunday morning. You wake up feeling refreshed and at peace. You grab your morning fix, whether that’s water, tea, coffee, etc., and you hop in the car for some Sunday morning exploring.

The sky is exceptionally blue with minimal clouds. The clouds that you do see are incredibly white and puffy and add the perfect touch to the sky. It’s sunny, but not hot. There’s a perfect breeze that brushes by often enough to keep you cool as the sun kisses your skin with warmth. The birds are soaring through the sky with no care in the world, just going where the wind takes them.

You approach a field full of alluring, tall sunflowers. Their vibrant yellow compliments the big bright blue sky. You hop out of the car to admire the vast collection of wild flowers.

It’s quiet, peaceful and comforting. You’re at one with yourself, with nature and with the universe. You’re at a complete balance with life.

You have free range to enjoy it however you’d like. Run free through the field and scream at the top of your lungs. Find a spot in the middle of the field to sit down and think, journal, nap, listen to music, etc. It’s a complete safe space for you to let go of all worries, all obligations, all cares. The best part about it is that this was all created in your mind, so you can visit the sunflower field whenever you’d like. Image result for quotes about imagination

The mind is an incredible thing. We have the power to use our imagination to take us places outside of our realities. Isn’t that crazy? Whenever you’re feeling defeated, scattered, stressed, overwhelmed, or feel anxiety soaring through the roof, imagine your happy place. Maybe it’s a sunflower field. Maybe it’s a day at an amusement park. Maybe it’s taking a long drive across the country. Whatever it is, your mind can take you there.

Mental health is important. Don’t neglect your imagination. Use it. It has the ability to take over your thoughts, so let it take over with positivity and light. You’ll be surprised how your imaginations and thoughts start crossing over into your real life with how you feel, how you view things and how it awakens you. Give it some time. You have to make it a habit. It takes 30 days to create and/or break a habit. Be patient.

Your mind is strong. Utilize it in your favor.

Thanks for reading. Happy imagining. Read the quote above one more time.
